This vessel was commissioned for a 140m Fincantieri build delivered in late 2014 and was specifically designed to be stowed aboard the yacht within a drive-in dry dock.
With a separate forward cockpit and aft seating area, generous cabin and separate toilet area, the vessel was conceived to provide a versatile tender for both daily transport needs and longer trips during a planned worldwide cruising schedule.
As with all Compass Tenders sea keeping and ride comfort were a high priority. The vessel is exceptionally quiet at all speeds. The naval architecture of the hull was completed by Patrick Banfield or Allseas Design with external styling by the yacht’s designer Espen Oeino.
For ease of maintenance and reliability all four of the vessel’s tenders, including this limousine, are powered by 2 x Volvo D6 435pm engines. This boat has Rolls Royce A3 water jets with a Rolls-Royce joystick and throttle controls.
This Limousine tender seats up to eighteen guests in complete luxury. To enhance comfort the cabin is air-conditioned and heated, and is equipped with an entertainment system, refrigeration, drinks cabinet and sumptuous leather seating.
Access into the cabin can be gained through the aft powered glass door, or through the electrically operated curved forward doors, allowing graceful stern and bow access. Custom stainless steel removable handrails forward and aft, adding to the safety and secure boarding of guests. The limousine roof comprises three tinted glass panels, which offer complete privacy when underway or in port, yet give a light and airy feel to the interior. The forward roof panel slides aft electrically for ventilation and or access.
The forward cockpit has seating for up to eight guests around a removable table, and can be protected with an electrically operated spray dodger. Steps port and starboard lead from the forward cockpit aft along the side decks. The aft cockpit comprises a separate raised helm station for helm and navigator. There is a built in galley module aft comprising fridge, sink and glass and bottle stowage. The aft cockpit has U-shaped removable seating and is accessed via removable steps port and starboard or through an electrically operated transom door. For day trips, diving, fishing, swimming, etc, all the seating can be removed, leaving an open cockpit.
The helm area is equipped with the latest navigational systems and controls. All engine instrumentation, controls and systems can be controlled by two Raymarine touch-screens on the dashboard. In addition to the Rolls-Royce joystick controls, the tender is fitted with a Humpfree fully automatic trim and ride control system.
This tender provides the perfect combination of practicality and style.
